New Student Special
The American Institute of Kenpo starts all students on our New Student Special offered through Groupon. This allows students to asses if our schedule and teaching methods are right for them. Standard Kenpo Karate Enrollment
The American Institute of Kenpo offers a standard one year Kenpo Karate enrollment that includes:
1) Access to our AIK certified teaching staff.
Students will have access to our experienced, skilled, and helpful staff during any of the classes they attend.
2) Up to two in person Kenpo Karate classes a week.
All students should attend at least one in person class a week. For information retention and encoding of physical capabilities we recommend that all students attend 2 classes a week. A full list of available classes can be found on the Class Schedule page.
3) Supplemental online Kenpo Karate classes.
Student training with AIK can attend and observe all classes for their rank through the zoom platform. This is intended for supplemental training. Students need to have physical interaction to fully understand the physics and kinetics in the lessons being taught.
4) Included belt testing for all ranks other than Junior and Senior Black Belts.
All rank appropriate belt testing on our Scheduled are included at no additional cost with the exception of the Junior and Senior Black Belt ranks.
5) Supplemental sparring classes.
Students can attend all sparring classes on the Class Schedule.
Standard Tuition Rates
Below you will find the monthly rate for a standard one year Kenpo Karate enrollment.
One Person: $195.00 monthly
Two People: $295.00 monthly*
Three People: $355.00 monthly*
Four + People: $ 355.00 + $25 for each person above the first 3*
* Family Plan: The Family Plan is for immediately family living in the same household. Please contact Mr. Pilch to determine if you qualify for the Family Plan.
Additional Options
There are additional options available that can be added to the standard Kenpo Karate yearly enrollment. These are additions to the standard enrollment only and are not available as stand alone options.
30 Day Cancellation Option: + $40.00 monthly
For those uncomfortable committing to the full enrollment, which is the standard, they can request to include the 30 Day Cancellation Option at the time they sign the enrollment. Should they wish to discontinue the standard yearly enrollment, they can cancel any time with a 30 day written notice. Any tuition payments during that 30 day period will still be due and payable at the agreed upon time defined by the enrollment contract.
Private instruction Option: + $30.00 Per 15 minute session
Though this option requires a standard one year enrollment it is not included with those tuition payments. Students participating in the standard one year enrollment can purchase additional training so long as it can be scheduled during a time that one of the AIK certified instructors is available.
Note: Private instruction is for only one student per session.
Speciality Concerns: Variable
Should a student have a special situation where they need additional help not listed here, they should contact Mr. Pilch and set up a time to discuss it with him.
Belt Testing & Promotion
There are two different types of belt tests and promotions that the American Institute of Kenpo offers.
Black Belt Testing: Starts at $275.00
This is for our Junior and Senior ranked students that have reached a place in their studies where they are prepared to undergo the process of being tested, promoted, and recognized for their progression in the advanced black belt ranks. Process Details
Color Belt Testing: Included or $60.00
This is for all our Youth students and the color belt Junior and Senior ranked students that have reached a place in their studies where they are prepared to undergo the process of being tested, promoted, and recognized for their progression on the path to the black belt ranks.
Included: For students on a standard enrollment, all rank appropriate belt testing on our Schedule is included at no additional cost with the exception of the Junior and Senior Black Belt ranks.
$60.00 - Make Up / Private Belt Tests: For students who are unable to attend on the rank appropriate belt testing dates listed on our Schedule, a Make Up / Private Belt Test may be scheduled. All Make Up / Private Belt Tests will be subject to instructor availability and must be paid for at the time it is scheduled.
